Migration QLD state nominated program update

With the new adjustment of Queensland’s state nominated immigration program, it is important to note that the biggest change in the graduate pathways is related to GPA.

The Migration Queensland Skilled Program is OPEN for the 2023-2024 program year to onshore and offshore applicants.

Notice

1. All EOI submitted before 6 September need to be resubmitted. It is recommended that applicants who complete skill assessment, language test and work experience can start processing EOI.

2. 2023-24 state and territory nomination allocations as announced as budgets

Onshore Applicants Pathway

Graduates of a Queensland University

All local graduates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Application 190 requires an EOI score of at least 75, application 491 requires an EOI score of at least 65;
  2. Language score of IELTS 4 or above 6, or other equivalent level of English score;
  3. Application 190 requires living in any part of Queensland, Application 491 requires living in a remote part of Queensland;
  4. The course is 100% completed in Queensland;
  5. Graduated in the past two years;

For PhD and Doctorate Graduates

  • Their thesis had a positive decision
  • No job or job offer are required

For Masters Graduates in STEM or Agriculture fields

  • STEM means Science, Technology, Engineer and Mathmetics.
  • Employed full-time job (minimum 30 hours per week) in nominated occupation or ANZSCO Skill Level 1 occupation

For Master Graduates – not in STEM or Agriculture fields

  • Graduates need to get GPA 6.0 or above for 190 visa pathway and get GPA 5.0 or above for the 491 visa pathway.
  • Employed full-time job (minimum 30 hours per week) in nominated occupation or ANZSCO Skill Level 1 occupation

For Bachelor Graduates

  • Graduates need to get GPA 6.0 or above for 190 visa pathway and get GPA 5.0 or above for the 491 visa pathway.
  • Employed full-time job (minimum 30 hours per week) in nominated occupation or ANZSCO Skill Level 1 occupation
