Engineers Australia provides accurate skills assessment services to engineers who wish to migrate to Australia. Engineers Australia is trusted by the Department of Home Affairs. Also, Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST) has become full signatory of the Washington accord from 2016. That means Holders of Chinese accredited qualifications completed in or after 2016 will be eligible for Membership of Engineers Australia as well as Migration Skills Assessment via the accredited qualifications pathways.
Engineers Australia recognises three occupational categories within the engineering practice in Australia:
- Professional Engineer
- Engineering Technologist
- Engineering Associate
- Engineering Manager (for migration purposes, the additional category of Engineering Manager is also recognised)
Requirements
There are five application pathways for migration skills assessment, all applicants need to determine exactly which application pathway suits their personal circumstance.
1) Accredited qualifications
- Australian Qualifications
- Washington Accord Qualifications
- Sydney Accord Qualifications
- Dublin Accord Qualifications
Graduates of accredited Australian engineering programs are eligible for migration skills assessment through the Australian Engineering Qualifications application pathway. Many Australian universities offer accredited engineering programs such as Australian National University, University of Adelaide, University of Queensland, University of Melbourne.
2) Non-Accredited qualifications/Engineering Manager
5. Competency Demonstration Report (CDR)
All applicants need to provide their English language competency through IELTS or TOEFL or PTE ACADEMIC.
